Like everyone else, it’s hard to not get excited about something like this. Though, I am someone who prefers character-driven narratives to plot-driven. Considering that this film involves a big concept like the Multiverse, I went to the cinema with low expectations. But man, this film proved me wrong big time.
Yay and Nay | SHANG CHI (2021) Movie Review | Marvel
Shang Chi is a spectacle in regards to action sequence and fighting choreography. Visual effects combined with the martial arts look very pleasing and somewhat well-executed. Another new world of fantasies and mystical creatures seems enthralling. But what the movie has in abundance brought through visual richness lacks a strong storyline for an origin story.
LOKI (2021) Review
Marvel has always had problems with bland and goofy writing that makes it feel too adult for a children’s show but too childish and shallow for a film for grownups. The beginning moments Loki are pretty cringe and confusing. It gets better, but not by much.
BLACK WIDOW (2021) Review
If you are willing to watch a film filled with really bad attempts at family drama, poor CGI-focused action sequences, and an ending like the writer and director quit before the completion of the movie, well then Black Widow is the film for you.
One of Marvel’s Finest! FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER (2021) Review
Many people in tinsel-town thought that there would be a dip in quality the moment Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced the move to shift minor-Avengers characters onto the silver screen. But as always, Marvel proved them wrong, redefining what can be done on minimal budgets by delivering a fantastic season of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The buddy-cop dynamic between Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan is organic and forms the main reason as to why this series has really taken off.
WANDAVISION (2021) TV Review
In recent years, very rarely has Marvel tried to push the boundaries with their content by moving away from your typical superhero film and started blending them into different genres. WandaVision is the first introduction to something that feels completely fresh and new, at least regarding some aspects of it.
